I wish I loved sports. My two sons and my husband all got that gene. I may have missed it, but I'm doing everything I can to try to learn more about sports. One of the things I try is to read about sports as much as I can.Including this book. Play Their Hearts Out is a sad story. It's the story of people who scout for basketball talent in very young boys (elementary age kids) with promises of helping the boys in obtaining sponsorships and college scholarships and basketball careers, but with the hidden agenda of obtaining money for themselves. Some very sad stories of very sad lives here. Boys with promising talent who never grow to astounding height or who get blindsided with fame too early or who (very sadly) are poorly coached and never learn the basic skills they need to play ball. Sad.
